Visalia is the gateway city to Sequoia National Park, which is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains– the tallest mountain range in the contiguous United States. Also, the park is home to the General Sherman Tree, the world’s largest tree! Many Visalia locals love to head up to the trees to take in the beauty of nature, right in our backyard! To plan your visit check out www.nps.gov/seki. Don’t want to make the drive? Take the Sequoia Shuttle any day of the week Memorial Day through Labor Day. The shuttle stops at most Visalia area hotels.
